about
intro
I’m Jack, a software engineer and PADI Assistant Instructor based in Leeds. I’ve been building things on the web since my first site in 1997, studied Computer Science at King’s College London, and have since written software at Oracle, Sky and Anaplan. Today I’m a Technical Architect at Aera Technology.
Underwater, I teach as a PADI Assistant Instructor and Emergency First Response Instructor, and spend as much time as I can with a camera, looking for the small and strange: frogfish, pygmy seahorses, mantis shrimp. This site is home to my trip reports and photos, quick notes on tech problems I’ve had to solve, and the archive of a blog I’ve kept since 2006.
